Guard dogs
A security dog is
particularly trained to work as a working dog. Guard dogs are not suitable as pets.
Because they are unable to "turn off" their training, this is the
case.
Alarm dog: Alarm dogs typically weigh a lot and bark very loudly. They are
not trained to attack but will "sound the alarm" when a stranger
approaches. In many circumstances, the dog's threatening bark is sufficient to
keep away uninvited guests.
Sentry dogs are typically used to patrol the exterior of a building, such
as a warehouse or construction site. Without any guidance from a human owner,
the dog can roam on its own. Sentry dogs can add an extra layer of security for
businesses because they are trained to attack intruders.
Attack dog: If given the order to do so by their handler, trained attack dogs will attack and even kill. These canines may work in demanding and unstable conditions as K-9 or military service dogs. Dogs with this level of training are not gregarious.
